Barbara B. Cohen, SPHR, Principal


Barbara's career in Human Resources Management has been both long and varied. Most of it has been centered in the Financial  Services working for some of the largest and most well-known banks in the U.S. In addition she has also contributed to HR programs in Biotechnology, Research, and Manufacturing space.

In 2002 she relocated to the Dallas/Ft. Worth from Metro Boston, and put her HR career on hold until 2010 when she re-entered the field, taking on a number of contract HR clients.

Barbara holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Regis College, and a Masters in Organizational Development from Boston College. Additionally, she is a certified Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) and an active member of SHRM.

Leah McDormand, PHR, Associate


Leah is an experienced Human Resources professional with over 15 years of experience across the industry. She has a proven ability to integrate as a strategic partner of the organization and incorporate the Human Resources strategy into the overall business operating plan.

Her professional resume includes holding Director level HR roles with a number of  Fortune 500 companies. She has cross- functional  industry experience in the Finance, Transportation, Insurance and Real Estate spaces and has consulted with several smaller companies on their HR needs.

Leah holds a Bachelors Degree from San Diego State University and is a certified Professional of Human Resources (PHR) and an active member of SHRM.  She currently resides in Atlanta, GA.

Katherine Steffan, Associate

Katherine’s career in Human Resources began as a High-Volume Recruiter for a Logistics Company. More recently she has worked with two Fortune 500 companies in an HR capacity in the Hospitality Industry.  Katherine is an experienced Human Resources professional with a passion for high performing employees. With a focus on Talent Management, her areas of expertise include Recruitment Strategy, Effective Onboarding, Training, Retention, Benefits and Employee Relations.

Katherine graduated from Florida State with a degree in Psychology with a Minor in Business. She is a member of SHRM and currently resides in New Orleans, Louisiana.
